Basketball is kicking into high gear right now across the country, and the RAs and GAs at First Baptist Church Hallsville took up the ball for a great cause. They earned over $500 for Baptist Friendship House through the RA/GA Shoot Out.

It was their annual basketball shootout in which the children received pledges for points they could score in one minute of shooting baskets.

The $500 will be used to buy 36 backpacks filled with hygiene kits and clothes for distribution to the homeless in New Orleans.

Way to go, RAs and GAs!
