In the aftermath of a 7.2 earthquake that rocked Haiti on Aug. 14, TBM is sending at least 200 family water filters and $10,000 to provide help, hope and healing in the region.

The filters and funds will be used by a Haitian church that TBM has had a relationship with since the 2010 Haiti earthquake. Church members are using the resources to meet immediate needs and share God's love.

"Water wells have collapsed," said longtime TBM volunteer and Good for Haiti Founder Ernie Rice. "Potable water is in short supply there and has become very expensive. With the water filters and water you purchased, you are meeting needs and equipping a church to share God's love after the earthquake."

As TBM continues to monitor the situation and follow God's call in this response, please pray:

  • For the Haitian people. This earthquake has devastated them in many ways, including the loss of at least 1,200 lives. May they feel God's comforting presence.
  • For this partner church. Immediately after the earthquake, this congregation began to reach out to its community. May God give members strength as they serve.
  • For the relief effort. May these resources be used by God in these circumstances. May God continue to guide TBM leaders in this disaster.

Thank you for your prayer and financial support. Together we transform lives in the name of Christ. Please consider giving a gift to make ministry possible after this disaster.
