TBM Fall Adult Campcraft Training

Camp will be four nights duration – Wednesday evening through Sunday morning. We will use the support and safety of the state park environment to offer fun and safe camp for all participants. Training will be led by qualified TBM Adult Campcraft Instructors. This training experience is for adults 18+ years of age only.

The TBM Adult Campcraft program offers a Christ-centered approach to outdoor skills training, with the goal of leading the participant to grow in their relationship with the Lord through personal devotion, service and worship.

Various levels of TBM Adult Campcraft training will be available, as well as a “Reunion Camp” for those who wish to attend for the fellowship and shared experience of this outdoor event. Download the Fall Camp Information Packet for more details!

Campcraft Level Descriptions

Campcraft has an advancement track for Adults, each level building on the foundations of previous. Each level has a goal to help you be able to teach and lead in your next outdoor activity. Below are some short descriptions of the levels.

Introduces an adult to basic camping skills to increase their personal knowledge, abilities and comfort level with experiences in outdoor living. Operates from one base camp for duration of event.

TBM Adult Campcraft prerequisites: none

Introduces an adult to intermediate camping skills to increase their personal knowledge, abilities and comfort level with experiences in outdoor living. Uses backpacking skills to move among multiple sites.

TBM Adult Campcraft prerequisites: Frontiersman

Introduces an adult to advanced camping skills to increase their personal knowledge, abilities and comfort level with experiences in outdoor living. Uses multiple modes of travel to move nightly among various destinations.

TBM Adult Campcraft prerequisites: Outdoorsman

Introduces an adult leader to the knowledge and abilities of teaching skills to other adults in the Frontiersman level of the adult campcraft program. Includes orientation and skills demonstration.

TBM Adult Campcraft prerequisites: Frontiersman

Introduces an adult leader to the knowledge and abilities of teaching skills to other adults in the Frontiersman, Outdoorsman and Voyager levels of the adult campcraft program. Includes orientation and skills demonstration.

TBM Adult Campcraft prerequisites: Voyager, Basic Instructor

Introduces an adult leader to the knowledge and abilities of camping skills with an emphasis upon leading other participants safely in an extended (Voyager) trip camping experience. Candidate assists in planning and leading the experience.

TBM Adult Campcraft prerequisites: Advanced Instructor

Provides additional instruction to an adult leader with an emphasis upon leading other participants safely into an extended (Voyager) trip camping experience. Candidate is the primary leader on the experience and is evaluated by a TBM Trip Leader Instructor.

TBM Adult Campcraft prerequisites: Trip Leader Assistant
