Texans on Mission Disaster Relief assessors surveyed damage west of downtown Houston today, and the TXM Kingsland Baptist Church chainsaw team from Katy will begin removing downed trees Saturday morning. Also, the state mass feeding unit is expected to head to Houston.

Thanks to the creativity of a Mississippi layman and a gift from California Baptists, Texans on Mission provided an expanded service to Southeast Texas families affected by recent flooding, reports the Baptist Standard.

Texans on Mission chainsaw teams are hard at work in South-Central Texas after a tornado and hail storm swept through the area last Thursday.

Texans on Mission volunteers are bringing relief to the people of Conroe. “It’s given me quite a bit of hope that I’ll actually be able to conquer the tasks that are ahead of me,” said Conroe resident Peter Baliukonis.

Storms have taken a toll across Texas in recent days, and Texans on Mission has deployed disaster relief volunteers into several communities in May – San Marcos, Conroe, Rising Star, Huffman and Kingwood.

Homes were under water in Rising Star, but the hands of Texans on Mission volunteers kept hope afloat in this small West Texas town north of Brownwood.

Texans on Mission Disaster Relief has deployed five teams to respond to widespread flooding in Southeast Texas and has many more lined up to serve in a multi-site relief effort.

Weeks after firefighters contained the largest wildfire in Texas history, Panhandle churches are ministering to their neighbors as they continue recovery and begin rebuilding.

A Texans on Mission team brought water and the gospel to San Martin, Peru, a village on Rio Itaya in recent weeks. “Thank you so much, brothers, for this incredible and kind gesture towards our children, families and community,” said Alexander Tapullima.

Storms rolled across Texas, Oklahoma and other parts of the country in recent days, and Texans on Mission Disaster Relief teams are responding.

It was great to share in WMU of Texas' Pursue: Annual Meeting and Missions Celebration last weekend. Men and women gathered in Waco to be equipped and encouraged to "make disciples who make disciples."
